Hsb Rollböcke

Looks great - i think I might have to invest!

Sounds great - look forward to seeing the pics.

Cheers chaps! I am trying to justify getting some, but did they ever use them in the US?
Spray them a nice shade of rule 8 and anything goes!

The first company to offer them as models will have the girls' train market cornered.

Hat, coat, ...

No, these are grey, not pink.

image.jpg Regauged the fire tank to standard gauge as it should be really. This just involves removing the pivoting axle units and making some plastic bearings to slide in the back of the axle boxes. The wheels are retained by wire looped around the frame and axle. Easy to revert to 45mm as no mods required to the chassis on this one. They usually use the Rollwagen for these two wagons but it goes on the Rollböcke ok for now ;)

But it needs buffers and different brake hoses, no?

The roll blocks are un braked - hence the brake wagon modelled above.

Cruel but true.

To be fair to Paul and LGB, a standard 4w Tank Wagon has just been repainted and lettered. Perhas a better option if Value is to be retained might be to make a new Chassis and mount the Tank on that. The other changes could thus be incorporated without trashing the Wagon. The original chassis could then have a new body made for some other Wagon. Sorry Paul another bucket full of work suggested!
