Hi,
we've had a G-scale loop for years (about 70ft. of track) that comes out every Christmas. We've been adding rolling stock over 20 odd years, but four yrs ago we got a used USA Trains SD70MAC. It needed some TLC - new motor blocks - but it now runs well. Well this Christmas I decided to convert the SD70 to deadrail.
So after repurposing an RC LiPo battery, and purchasing a Blunami 4408, Buck Converter, Low voltage disconnect and a myriad of 'stuff' I'm done with the propulsion side of things and now need to work out the lighting.
We also tied up my new Bambu H2C printing a G-Scale version of the 1:76 scale Hogsmead/Goathland station - that took a while.
