Help needed with Revolution Train Engineer.

Hi,
I’m using Revolution Train Engineer for wireless DCC, on the whole I’m very pleased and it works fine.

I have three locos, for simplicity, A, B and C.

Loco B will respond to sound inputs while operating locos A and C. If I operate loco B, neither loco A or C will respond. Also if locos A and C are switched on but stationary, the speed on loco B will fluctuate.

I tried re-linking loco B’ receiver with the transmitter but it has made no effect. I then thought about changing the frequency for loco B but it will only respond to the previously set frequency.

Does anyone have knowledge on how I delete the loco’s receiver from the transmitter ? I wondered if I could do this I could re-link at a different frequency. I’m certain there isn’t any instruction in the manual.

Sorry if it sounds like a riddle from a school book but I thought it easier rather than getting hung up in loco names :-)

Loco 1 (A) DCC address 19
ID C-19
Loco 2 (B) DCC address 27
ID K-27
Loco 3 (C) DCC address 28
ID K-28
All have Zimo decoders.

It does sound like the consist address is enabled somehow...

1. please be sure that you are using short addresses, i.e. CV1 for the loco address...
2. check CV29 to be sure you are using the short address (normally you want CV29 = 2)
3. be sure the long addresses are 0 (CV17 and CV18) (should not matter if CV29 is right, I know)
4. be sure the consist addresse is 0 ( CV19)

I'm assuming you can indeed read CV's, but if not, just set them anyway.

Let's see what happens...

Hi Greg,
I have tried all of the above and there was no resolution to the problem.
I carried out a re-set on the K-27 decoder and still the same.
what I have now done is deleted the
K-27 from the transmitter and re-installed it on a different frequency and this has worked.
Probably not the ideal solution but I will run this way for now as I can have my other locos simmering away on the passing loop and sidings making all the usual sounds while the K-27 is running.

I would assume the reset would clear any consist address... but....

Bachman C-19: Zimo MX 697 ‘plug & Play

K -27 & K -28 both have Zimo
MX 699KV

I will keep updated if I get to the bottom of the issue.

MX699 have super caps for maintaining 16 volts. MX697 does not have the super caps and is a 4 amp decoder, that is total amps of motor, lights, smoke etc.
