Hi everyone

I'm Mike from WSM. I've been hankering after a garden railway for quite a while now and have finally taken the plunge. I've just got hold of a Bachmann EBT 10 wheeler via Ebay and have also now got 2 meters of LGB track, so I'm on my way!

I really fancy a layout based on turn-of-the-century US narrow gauge. My garden is square and flat but unfortunately partly under an acacia tree. Much of the garden is laid to raised paving along 2 adjoining sides, so I'm intending to start off on the smaller side with a view to extending later.

Looking forward to visiting here in the future.

Mike

Ah...... so you'll be needing a high fence to keep the giraffes out...

Welcome, Mike. I had an acacia tree over part of my railway, too - the leaves and especially the leaf stems can be a bit of a pain when they drop. However, my tree blew down in a gale last year, so don't have that problem now.

Thank you for all your kind welcome. BTW, the fella in my avatar was my grandfather. He was an engine driver working out of the Bolton sheds.
