Greetings from somewhere equally strange but probably colder. Be brave, a lot of the folks here (there used to be some of the fairer sex) have been hoarding like squirrels for years and still do not have everything they want - and never will. Grab what you have, plonk it down, wire it up and run something: if this causes an inane grin you are on the right road. Been there, got the T-shirt etcJust got my first g scale train set, but I haven't put it together because I don't have everything I want yet.

Just got my first g scale train set, but I haven't put it together because I don't have everything I want yet.
Haven't owned an electric train in 30+ yrs and it was HO scale.
So many questions, so much to learn.

Hey Chriskym, trains are great fun, way to go! I've been through Cajon pass on the annual spring motorcycle ride many times. Hope you lay it down (track, not bike) and get that choo choo going soon! This forum is the place to hang out to learn lots from these guys. But you must understand the prime acronym to truely understand their humor: SWMBO..
