Hello from South Florida

Good day all.

New member and here is my first post. My username on all of the train related forums that I frequent is Amfleet25124. Ventured into garden trains twice before, first with my kids using the plastic trains the stores sell at Christmas, then again in 2019 with an LGB starter set that I later ran the Stainz loco with a couple of Bachmann Overton cars around the Christmas Tree.

This time, it's for real and it will stick. I've purchased over the past month or so bit-by-bit pieces to create an LGB RhB consist. Immediate plans are run at the two of my 3 clubs in South Florida that have G Scale layouts (Florida Citrus Model Train Society; Tradewinds & Atlantic Railroad) and then purchase enough track to encircle my swimming pool and run the train there. Long term will be construct a small loop in the backyard next around my wife's garden.

Here are two videos that I took over the Fourth of July Holiday weekend of my RhB consist.

Welcome to the forum Sir!

Another RhB fan I see....

Going through my vault, here are backyard photos of my EZ Toys train (2011) and my LGB Stainz loco in 2019.

Welcome to the forum. You'll be spoilt for choice with collecting RhB rolling stock, it's very popular and with very good reason. Just beware of the humour, don't confuse it with the advice freely given

Welcome to the forum, been a long time since I visited Florida last century in fact. The garden railway scene in Orlando was very strong, I visited many line during a convention that were wildly different but all good to see with friendly hosts and visitors.

Welcome aboard.

All the best.

Thank you all for the welcome.

@ Dan Padova (aka Madman), I recall communicating with you back and forth via emails with you back in 2019 when I temporarily caught the G Scale bug.:)

Greetings from teeny tiny land, looks like a good start and as the old saying goes 'from little acorns...'.
Ignore remarks about the humour, we are all perfectly rational and sane (sometimes) but the words about the wisdom available from the good people here are true. Feel free to ask any questions, nobody will put you down even if you think it may be a daft request, we all started at sometime.

Hi and welcome, do we have a name for us to use for you or is it just Amfleet25124.

Thank you all for the welcome.

Good memory. Better than mine, I should say.
