Hello from Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Harrogate-Folk

Retired and busy
image.jpeg Hi Everyone. I have been playing with LGB for over 30 years but only got semi serious when I retired 6 years ago. I still only have a simple round and round, laid on genuine railway sleepers, but I run a Regner steamer on sunny days, otherwise standard Stainz locos with assorted rolling stock.
You can see a cab ride on You Tube at

Brilliant Chris , some seriuos leaves on your line keep the pics coming

Only a simple round and round?? I think that's a very impressive round and round. Greetings by the way.

Great video, Chris, and an excellent and well-established line! Welcome to the forum. :)

Jon.

Welcome Chris. Nice line. I have many good memories of Harrogate! What is the large leafed plant?

Hi I regularly travel through Harrogate to and from Knaresborough. Wonder if you know the guy at Starbeck with the 16mm line. In a Bungalow just after Starbeck Station on the line towatds Knaresborough looking Left in the direction you are travelling. Blink and you can easliy miss it. Never seen anything running, but as I am homeward bound by around 1500 weekdays hardly surprising. Very nice little line though.

Looks like you may have a different line nearby for your Regner to stretch its legs if you change the Gauge Temporarly to 32mm. That is if your one can.

Welcome to the Mad House!

Very good. I liked the Hand of God descending to change the points at the end. And what are those bears doing on the platform? Another good example of how a simple layout does not mean boring. Thanks for posting.

I know the Starbeck garden that you mean but I have never seen it running either. I must get up there and knock on his door one day!

There is a story behind the Bears which will be explained in a post some time in the future

I enjoyed that. Hello..

Hi Chris

late post due to being tied up with other pressing things.
Welcome, and I can tell you your simple loop is well ahead of my progress.
I have a part loop still under construction.

I enjoyed the video ride on your railway.
cheers

Hi Chris, thanks for the video very enjoyable. I am not too far from yourself in Leeds. I have a G1 140 ft branch line in my garden with live steam Flying Scotsman. New to all this as only started this summer.
