Hello all,
I'm Alan and better get things stated by saying Hello to every one.
I live in Adelaide in South Australia, with SWMBO and two adult "kids" still living at home.

I'm retired after some 40 years in the ADF, and been into model railways on way or the other since the 60's.

Had a major car accident a few years ago and that makes life rather difficult for me at times.
Not being able to do what I use to be able to do. Hence one of my reasons for entering into the world of "G Scale"

Will keep it a short as I am assured that my sons extensive OO (English based) and my HO (American based ) will be mentioned down the track.

Lurked around the internet for quiet some time to find the right Forum to join and this Forum is the best I could find, well in regards to G Scale anyways.

Its a pleasure to see a forum with input from so many modellers from all over the world.
Lots and lots of helpful advise to soak up and many questions to be put forward to the Honoured Members of the forum.
Never to old to learn and no question to stupid to ask.

As per my Layout, will post a thread in the appropriate Area once I get things up and running better.

Looking forward to getting things up and running and more to follow.......

Definitely "Port" Gavin,
Nothing better than sitting down after dinner in front of the heater having a short snort...

Crows fan myself, but I'll support any team playing against Carlton.

Beaut thing about this forum, is you can chuck in a few footy quips, and the Poms get lost. Our North American friends
wonder what the hell we put in our drinks!

And let us not forget the NRL for the East Coasters and the Rugby Union for the compatriots across the ditch.

Next up for discussion will have to be cricket just don't mention the ashes, I did once but I think I got away with it (Apologies to John Cleese).
