The cab light in my Hartland MAK has popped.
Are spares available in the UK?
I would be happy to fit a non-HLW replacement but I have no idea of type or voltage.
Has anyone had experience of these?

Most of the lights in Hartland stock are the grain of wheat type with wire tails. They need to be line voltage, ie 18-24 volts.

I'd have thought an 18-24v grain of wheat bulb will do, depending on your system voltage?
<edit> snap, Mike! </edit>

Actually I replaced mine with a pair of LEDs and resistors when I fitted a decoder. Even if you're analogue DC you could still do that and get directional headlights.

Thanks for that.
My 'expertise' doesn't run to LEDs and DCC even though I run MTS3 so grain of wheat it shall be. I even have some somewhere but it might be quicker to go out and buy some!
Thanks again.

In my case the difference is - Grain of wheat = It works
LED = PHUT! ;D

The Hartland Mack light runs directly from track power.
To get to it the easy way, remove the plastic lens/rods for the light as these hold the roof in place.
