Hello everyone, Seasons greetings to you all,
For a few weeks now, I have been steadily restoring a Brawa G4/5 locomotive that has been bashed about by a previous owner.
A previous request for parts on this website has yielded new buffers, cab steps etc. from Marklin (who now hold stock of limited parts).
I am now getting to the point where I need sufficient handrail knobs to fit the boiler and smoke box door handrails (12 in total). The Brawa knobs are plastic mouldings and are quite fragile. I would therefore like to replace them all with brass components. The dimensions are as the drawing attached below.
I have thought about using the Slaters O scale brass products but I do not know the dimensions and do not have any to hand to measure. If anyone does have some to hand and could run a vernier over them for comparison with the drawing, I would be very grateful.
Alternatively, if anyone knows of a suitable (UK based) supply of brass knobs to close dimensions of the drawing, I would be eager to hear from you
Thanks everyone,
Dave
