Half Screen

Yesterday my forum screen started doing something odd. The top half of the screen is a blue banner with the familiar headings, Home, Forums, Whats New, Madman, Envelope Icon, Bell Icon. So when I click on a topic, all I can see is a partial view of that subject.

Not quite sure what's going on with my MAC. Or is it the website ?
 
I had something like this on my iPad this morning with an ad filling the lower part of the screen. Pressed the back arrow and it went away allowing me to view the post ok on the next request for it. Hm just happened again on the Occre Tram thread, the add has a x but it will not go away when you press it. Strange.
 
I have the same on my tablet, over half the screen is blue banner , meaning I can only see one line of each thread at a time, pretty frustrating, ok on my phone thougn

The time delay seems to be on the side of the perpetrator. About two seconds after I open up the topic, the screen gets covered halfway down with the blue banner.

I do have an older MAC, purchased in 2014. The operating system is "O S X El Capitan".
 
One more thing to complain about. I can't sign off. If I click on my name, the drop down screen opens but does not allow me to go far enough down to see the words, "Sign Out".

Slight correction. If I click on the text size icon in the tool bar of my MAC, the Log Out words appear, but I am still looking at a half screen.
 
More issues caused by adverts, hence my thread about forum funding with out adverts.
 
El Capitan released in 2015, last update in 2018.

Something is wrong with your resolution or other settings or browser if you cannot see the dropdown.

The dropdown from your name only goes down about 1/2 way vertically on my screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution.

So if the dropdown cannot be seen, then my guess your screen resolution is not enough.

most ipads are only 1024 x 768 resolution, but perhaps yours is higher, for further help, need to know the model (you have to look this up on how to spot the different models)

First, try zooming out with your browser, and again please state the browser you are using

Next, try a different browser.

After that, your ipad may be too old...

Since the change to the forum software, it may have caused glitches, the forum trys to understand the resolution of your screen, but the iPad can send goofy information in this case and misinterpreted by the forum.

tablets exist in the "no mans land" between phone apps and resolution and a real computer.... sorry...
