...it's had a repaint, a roof added and some other little details...

The main addition was adding IP Engineering's 4 wheel chain drive kit to give it decent traction up our 1:50 grades. And I'm pleased to report it now does it with easy. (Also now has it's 2xAAA batteries on board).

Autumn weather has made a bit of a dent in the recent running, well that and decorating duties, sigh.
But in a break in the weather a short run was made by a visiting Aristo-craft railbus.

It's Ian's (Peninsok) and is battery power under Revolution control.

It ran sweet, even with a passing heavy shower of rain.

I look forward to having it visit again at night, it has lots of interior lights.

What with winter weather, a minor knee op and domestic duties train running on the H&MGR has been limited of late, but our workshops have been busy and the past Sunday our railway first live steamer made it's first track run (having done a couple of runs on rollers).

Introducing Manawanui:bigsmile:
IMG_5254.JPG

It's a Regner Lumber Jack kitset with a number of cosmetic alterations...
IMG_5255.JPG

Lots to learn to get the best from it but it handles our 1:50 grades no problems, uphill...
