Grootspoor visit

Hi ,

We are off to Amsterdam in a few weeks , the wife would like to see some tulips! I would like to buy some trains! Has anyone been to grootspoor from Amsterdam? Just looking for ideas.

No, not been there myself. I would check the Web site first.

The bulb field place is worth visiting though, near the town of Lisse....

De Keukenhof is the name of the botanical Gardens there....

I was already at Grootspoor. Is a good shop with a lot in stock. But I think you have to make an appointment. And it´s not close to Amsterdam.

I went a few years ago. I think we went by train from Amsterdam where we were staying. It wasn’t hard to find. That said looking at Google maps I can’t see a station nearby but several bus routes get quite close. Huge stock, very friendly owner. I bought a load of stuff which they packed up and posted over for me. I have bought quite a few things from them over the years.

I have never had the opportunity to visit, but they are great to deal with online.

over the years i bought some used Stainzes from them.
prices ok, postage not exaggerated - and most important, what i paid for did reach me.

Got me a load of Pola and Piko buildings from them. Like others have only had dealings with them online. Didn't deliveries come with a side order of choccies ? Max

Was over that at the weekend and visited this farm, no tulips at the moment. Welkom bij de Tulperij

have just done a review of Big Train world, but you may need a car to get up there but its a much nicer part of Holland rather than industrial West.





But they were in the Markets of Utrecht en mass
