Buenas noches.
Saludos cordiales,
Mario

Hello Mario, welcome to GSC - I assume that the link at the bottom of your post is to an English translation, but I (and many other members) will be wary of just clicking on an unidentified link like that - please copy and paste the English translation in full, into the post itself, rather than posting a link?

This is the translation:

Good evening.

First of all, I apologize for the translation; my English isn't very good, and I'm using translation software.

My name is Mario, and I'm from Málaga, Spain, a city in the south of the country.
I've always had N, HO, and Z scale models, but although it might seem illogical, I don't have the space for N scale—which is the one I have the most of—but I do have a garden, and I'd like to try G scale. All my models are from Renfe (Spain) or some from DB. What I like most is steam.
I want to start with G scale, but I'd like to do it in DCC and, if possible, have my first locomotive with sound.
For this, I'm looking for a steam locomotive that's DCC compatible and has sound; in the meantime, I'll use a Yamorc YD7001, which can handle up to 3 amps.
So, what would you recommend, and could you also tell me what track you use outside your homes?
Thank you very much for your help. Best regards,
Mario

Hello Mario,

Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome to the forum Mario.

LGB or Piko track would probably be the easiest to source in Spain....

Hello and wellcome to the forum Mario. My Austrian father and Danish stepmother lived, from 1977, half way between Malaga and Granada, near a town called Loja. My stepmother passed 2 years ago, so ending my connection with the area. I made quite a few visits over the years. Me, I'm British and like most British people very poor with languages other than English :giggle: Lots of advise here. What type of steam locos and railways interest you ?
