GP38 SANTA FE 3512

Nothing too extraodinary about the USA Trains GP38.
It has been around now for some years and it always works fine and has never gone wrong. Am I right?

'Fraid my rather travel worn version in DRGW colours is ratrher sluggish these days, bit like its owner. I think an overhaul this winter might be called for, and for that I will probably be looking for advice and so on, I'll let you know

I'm surprised to hear of one of these being sluggish . I haven't had any such problems with any if my fleet . I do very occasionally (say every 2 or 3 years) open up the power bogies. I clean the wire pick ups and renew the conductive grease. Seems to keep things running smoothly.
