Flexible track - Peco, Peko or LGB

Just who,is this Peko? Could we mean Piko? If so can the Title be updated please because someone in the future could spend an awful lot of time searching for this non existent manufacturer of Track. Oh and yes I am aware that some pronounce Piko as Peco/Peko whatever.
 
Much of the confusion arises from the fact that both Peco and Piko are supposed to be pronounced exactly the same, at least in their native languages (English and German respectively).... in an attempt to avoid misunderstandings I tend to pronounce Piko as "Pie-Ko" rather than "Pee-Ko" even though I know it's wrong.....
