Flascherlzug cars?

Ive been collecting these coaches over the last year or so, I have them all except the green one, which is the most difficult to find and seems to be quite expensive when you do find one. I was watching one on German e bay late last year and wanted it so much I put a bid in for 100 Euro and still got out bid on it. The red on is also a difficult one to find, take my advice, if your serious about collecting these and grootspoor has one you want, buy it, my red one and orange one came from there, never seen any on uk e bay.

I bought the three that I have (blue, yellow and orange) off UK ebay only a couple of weeks ago, all on "buy it now" deals at £49 each! From what everyone is now saying, I reckon it was quite a good deal. :D

I saw those, they might well have been from the same place as the U Class.

Quite possibly, Keith - they did have several other items for sale at the same time, some on BIN and some auctioned; I pounced on the Flascherlzug cars the moment I saw them, seemed too good to pass up. They all came mint condition boxed, very nice indeed.

Is the red Beclieri coach one of the Flascherlzug set or something completely different?

It's "Bergliesl", though the old germanic style font does make it easy to misread!
Yes, it is one of the set. No. 37070 (or 3707 in the old 4-digit numbering system).
The other four are 37075 "Rosenkogel" (orange), 34070 (3407 in old numbers) "Krauterwagerl" (yellow), 34075 "Schilcherschaukel" (blue) and seemingly the rarest one: 34076 "Hollerhansl" (green). The Red and Yellow ones were apparently first issued before the changeover from 4 to 5 digit item codes, hence the alternative numbering; the orange, blue and green only have 5-digit numbers shown in the 96/97 catalogue.

It was one of the first coaches I bought 3yrs ago quite by accident. It has had a lot of running.

Obviously a pee-ce of history. :rolf:

Well, if you ever decide to part with it (or maybe want to swap it for something) then just PM me! :D

Ahhhh - I watched all the way to the end after I posted and it does pan over the details and you can see Resita on the sand dome or whatever it is on the centre top of the boiler.

I hadn't realised that it WAS the one that is now on the W&L. I'm hoping to ride behind that this year :) I do like Earl and Countess but No.19 has a certain something about it - I guess I just like that style of small ish European narrow gauge steam engines :)

Sorry I wasn't trying to tantalise! If ever I decide to sell it I will post it on here.

Don't know what your views on ebay are but there is one of each colour recently posted on german ebay available to uk at £14.60 postage. Would have posted link but can't get it to work as my outlook froze.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110659909936&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I tell a lie it's worked now. James - promise to start on those VTG tankers soon.

Thanks for giving me the heads-up on these, Bazzer - I put bids in on both and won them over the weekend, 60 quid for the red one and just over 80 for the green - given their apparent scarcity (especially the Hollerhansl green one), I was certainly happy with those prices to complete my set of five! The seller is only charging me one lot of shipping for the two, so that isn't too bad either.

I was watching them and wondered if you were the successful bidder.

Lovely photo, Alyn - though the LGB versions might be a little brighter coloured than the real thing, in other ways they look quite accurate!

Yay! My parcel from Germany arrived this morning with the red and green coaches, very quick delivery (only mailed two days ago!) and in lovely condition - from the look of the wheels, neither of them have ever been on the track, they appear to be genuine "new old stock"; needless to say I'm very pleased with them and very happy to have completed the set of five with such relative ease and without spending an arm and a leg on them! All my purchases from German eBay in the past have been buy-it-now deals, this is the first time I've actually bid on German auctions - I'm happy to say that all went very smoothly and the seller - Christa at http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/allerlei-spielerei123/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 < Link To allerlei-spielerei123 - couldn't have been more helpful.
Thanks again to all who offered advice, and especially to Bazzer for pointing out the German auction.
When I get the chance, I'll get them all out on the track and take a couple of pics!
