I need to clarify a few things here.
Firstly, the soundcard which John (RJR) is describing is our new 00/H0/O small scale unit. It is designed for indoor use and does not really have the output power for garden use.
Secondly, it is designed for use with typical 00 gauge locos which start moving at 2-4 volts and top out at 12 volts. That is why the chuff rates don't match John's large scale loco.
Thirdly, I'm afraid that it is not yet generally available outside Australia until next month due to the need to fill local backorders. In the course of an email conversation with John I found I had a spare one and sent it to him as a one off.
