First proper running day of 2014 on the WGLR

Great pics Mel really like the 3rd one crossing the road ;D

agreed, the road crossing looks excellent
I see you have "buried" the rails in the tarmac, looks authentic as per prototype

The 16mm wharf diorama is now pretty much complete, although there are always things to tinker with and I can always add some alternative stock.  ;) :D

Not sure if there`s anything living in that canal? I have found that accidentally dropping a little cement dye into the water gives it a nice, mucky colour.

The stop blocks are made from lengths of rocket sticks which landed in our garden last November with a couple of Cambrian bolt heads on the top. The wood was distressed in places to stop them looking too "posh". They won`t last for ever, but have got a good coating of masonry paint and they cost nowt.

Nice work Mel....

Canal quay is looking good, Mel.
Can just imagine a narrow boat tied up alongside - next project???

If you go back a page mate, the idea is that the wharf is no longer in use since the arrival of the standard gauge railway, but there is a plan involving an old barge for sometime in the future. ;) ;)

Bl***y marvellous and a picture of a young Tag on the wall as well!

Looks fantastic Mel :D

Classic scene. Has anyone else got three gauges so close together and kept it looking real.
