Working my way around the upper loop. I covered bricks with mortor and used a brick cake mold to push I brick look into the mortor. Then a wash of black. Next will be a trip for more stone and retaining wall stones. IMG_20181121_084503748.jpgIMG_20181121_091215882.jpgIMG_20181121_115921755_HDR.jpgIMG_20181121_131025123_HDR.jpg

Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I wrote anything . I have a lot of stuff to get caught up on on this site. I haven't had time to do much so far this year. I did get a second retaining wall put in . The guys brought in some heavy equipment to help lol. Got it back filled and as it settles I add more fill dirt. I think I might build the sawmill here with another siding to it. Then I still need to build another trestle. Here are some shots of my progress. 249779249780249781249782249783249784

Probably what passes for 'soil' in that part of the world?

A bit like that blue 'grass' they have over there, near the coast I think?

It's fill dirt from the landscape supply . It does have a lot of sand in it but once the ballast goes down everything settles and it seems to be working fine.

Hang on. There's such a thing as a brick cake mold. Why did I not know of this? So many possibilities . Great work BTW.

Yes the cake molds work very well. I have found molds for different stone and brick patterns. Fairly realistic. At least realistic enough for me and my budget. Thanks

I'd fire the bulldozer operator, his blade isn't even dirty, he's just milking the cow, nice siding length, is it going to before the gravel mine or lumber

Had some time to work on the railroad. I finally connected the tracks where my engine house sets to the mainline. It's starting to really come together. I can now take the loco from the engine house back up a siding, pick up some cars then continue on . Pretty awesome. Here's some pictures.IMG_20190325_145042.jpgIMG_20190325_145042.jpgIMG_20190325_145055.jpg
