Some time ago i bought two Jackson Miniatures kits one of a signal box that i adapted, link of build below.

http://www.gscalecentral.net/m69564

And one of an engine shed that i wanted to make into a double shed with a few changes.

First up this is the kit

Before building i like to blue tac the bits together to get a feel for how the kit can be adapted.

One of the reason i wanted to adapt this kit was its only really any good for very small loco.

New walls are cut to size

The engine shed doors that came with the kit are just cut 20mm short so they dont snag on the rail so i decided i wanted them to be a little more fitting like the plastic kits , just need to get a few more hindges for the doors now.

Thought i would test a couple of locos in situ to see how it looked

Additional roof vents made and once again just placed in situ

New windows for my extended section

Windows and doors placed in postion .

After a few different builds i have tried a couple of different types of roofs.
[*]First being individual wooden slates on my Station Building that due to my total inability of following instructions failed dismally. http://www.gscalecentral.net/tm?m=778&high=station+build
[*]Second being buying real miniature slates on my Signal Box that where absolutely brilliant but the cost was a little prohibitive. http://www.gscalecentral.net/m69564

Third up is this kit bash of my Engine Shed where i have decided to use Roofing Felt

One roll of Roofing Felt

Steve, that's roofing felt. Asphalt (often pronounced ashfelt) comes by the (hot) bucket-load and is spread on the roof!
Your roof looks as if it will turn out really well, I must give that a try.
