Ok if you use cheap leds. I use leds at £3.50. (UK) a go which is about $5 US and no way will I risk ruining them at that price. Never have a problem with the ANTEX 18 watt I use. Also, I wire the leds with 6" of connecting wire so my customers find things easier when soldering in line...most of the leds I use are specialist and need handling properly.
The led shown is usually used in airliner overhead lights (as are a few other types), and is used on Fire engine warning lights in the US. It usually requires screwing onto a pcb board.

Wow! I'd have nothing but LEDs in my garden at that price. Just LEDs. No trains, track, maybe not even plants, with the exception of weeds, which arrive free of charge. :rofl::rofl::rofl:
