Yesterday say the fettling of the buildings lighting.

Starting with the easy one first, which was partially working.

Decided to rip out the existing ....

Personally, preferably the dimmer yellow/orange lights, seems more in keeping, but the new lights do light up the buildings well.

Sourced some Piranha led units to solve the internal light (lack of) issue.

Also managed to move the spoil/soil left over in those dumpy bags, from recent work on the wheelchair ramp....P1020857.JPG

Just looked at those Piranha Led lights appears that they have 4 contacts the spec I looked at can do 3 colours Red Green Blue. Yours look to be another variety. More research required me thinks.

As for loosing the big (ton?) dumpy bags, I always keep one for mass storage of clippings. If you can it is worth keeping dry and with help can be useful for a tip run.

Others can be useful in the Railway for making high areas of earth or rubbish to make an impromptu rockery as I did on my loop loosing maybe 1 or 2 in this loop. Though I have hard surfaces all round they will work with planting to hide the edges.

I get the idea of a box on the load deck, we will see.

Today has seen me dismantle something to fix something else, let me explain....

I have two four wheeled coaches, one i have added digital internal lights, passengers and BB wheel sets to, the other needs BB wheel sets, but the other items are in stock as it were.

So if I order some more and then swap the wheels to the other coach, i can set to and sort it out.

So...

...and if i then place one axle back under the first coach...

View attachment 265627
With one BB axil lighting each coach; is it necessary to have two? Could the plastic axils be replaced with plain metal and all work fine?

I don't remember that wye junction. Must have been asleep at the switch :snooze:.
It is an impressive piece of work
It's not a wye in the strict sense, it will be a meandering loop if/when i get it finished.

The vid will give you the idea. Plan is to connect the two open ends via a loop which will run under the existing track where the gap is in the blockwork.

The only problem i see with one pick up axle is the lights would go out on the plastic frog of a point, so hence both sets of bb wheels.

If I remember correctly, it's a wye that isn't a wye, so no reversed polarity ;);)

Ok sort of update...

The in progress extension has been partially dismantled turned through 180 degrees and further extended, with a falling gradient of sorts.

A Crok and a six coach train makes it up from a standing start, seven coaches a bit of slippage is apparent, but with a decent run i guess it would make it.

Problems in getting supplies from the various "Shed Outlets" have had an effect on the construction of Phase II.

But there has been some progress over the last few months...

...but now its more of a case of sorting thing out for the coming months, so the stone pile is now two piles, (Larger stones excluded.) which has given access to the old tarp, which has found a weed suppression use for now...

Strange how the supply issue is effecting things, a few weeks back there was no cement or postcrete in my local BnQ, yesterday ample supplies. Never checked up on any of the other 3 builders joints in the nits as I did not need any of those things. But I have now no cement of postcrete but no need for any just now.

Yep cement supplies are a problem here as well, unless I want to do a 200 mile round trip to the Leeds area to collect some, not that that is going to happen.

I can get it off the "Net" at inflated prices (4 times) and that is another option on the cards, not!!

Supplies of cement and postcrete arrived at my local Wickes down here in the south east corner a couple of weeks ago but still no sign of any mortar or concrete mix.

Update....

After damaged building and platform lighting over the Winter months, buildings bits and lights re-glued until I find a fix for the lights.

I also found out that manual track cleaning takes ages over the Easter weekend, and that after months of not running I had forgotten the various loco settings,
took ages to work out that No. 3 was left in slow speed shunt mode, and was limping along like that until last night, just as I was packing it up I remembered.

Ah well...
