Hi metz, yes I have one. I have only test run it so far to see if it works OK, which it does. As my line is Digital I am going to get a Massoth Chip for it as soon as I can. Then I will probably do a Utube Clip to post on here. It will not run on all my line due to the height of the beast. This was expected but it does go round most of my line. As to whether I take the Lump hammer to the offending bit of Railway, well that depends on how soon my plans to move take to come to fruition. The next line will all be OK.

Wow this is a big box:-

I've made my own tail light kit. Four LED's mounted on breadboard and wired opposite way round and connected to the marker lights at the opposite ends. A switch disables the red LED's when hauling a train. Cost = less than £1.

That sounds very good, do you think that we could have a picture with specs of the LED's and Resisters used please?

Finished converting mine to battery r/c so I gave it a run today. I've painted the underframe and bogies black and got rid of the LGB couplings. It's a large model but the overhang is no greater than other locos so it wasily runs around my line.

Like the black underframe much more than the "out of the box" look. Top job!

Yes! I know it looks a bit odd but after going to the Harz and seeing them in the flesh I had to get one. For the money it's a fantastic loco and very easy to convert to battery power.

I do have a DR baggage van though and I'm after a couple of coaches but they're so damn expensive!

I haven't seen the two side-by-side, but it looks to me as though the "standard gauge" version (don't know if it's actually out yet?) using the same bodyshell but different 4-wheel bogies may be lower overall than the HarzKamel version? Anyone know if that is actually the case - if so, then for those folks with height clearance problems, might be worth waiting for that version?
