I have had G scale locomotives and rolling stock for some time but while working had little time to really get involved in the hobby. Most of my collection is LGB, Berlyn M W, and Accucraft but I do have a Bachmann Spectrum Shay and an old Delton Doozie. I am NOT informed on kitbashing and upgrading motive power but am faced with learning. I picked up the Delton Doozie on a lark because neighborhood kids love the livery (Red/Santa Fe) and liked running it until the motorblock/gears went south. As much as I could I researched the forum threads here but didn't find anything about a reliable replacement motorblock for the little railbus.
Anyone have any suggestions? My electronics skills are limited but improving so not really sure about how two-wire and three-wire blocks are different (yeah, I know 2 or 3 wires, but... .)
I would appreciate any suggestions or articles which might help me keep the little guy from being a static display.
Thanks
CJW
