Following on from the question about multiple decoders, and how to isolate them to program..
I have the following::
A T2/2M tractor came to me fitted with a small LGB on-board decoder. I was supplies with a Massoth 'S' decoder, and asked to add sound..
This was done, and the CV's for the LGB decoder changed to allow the alternate flashing roof-lights, to be switched off/on with F7.
This all worked, and I could control sounds, and lights, using my Digitrax CS and Throttle..
Took the loco to Chasewater to give it a decent test-run.. The loco is controllable, but no sound. Pressing F7 causes one of the roof-lights to go off.. Pressing again (from memory) causes a toggle to the other light. - The light which is on does flash.
I found a reference in the LargeScaleForum to 'incompatiblities' between LGB plus another decoder, but nothing more than this.
I know there are problems with certain address numbers, but this loco is using the default '3' address.
Any ideas out there?
TIA,
PhilP.
