I have Started to build a G gauge layout in the garden. The first run of track is up and running using a DC controller from my indoor layout. This is OK to start but as I add more track and a fiddle yard I would like to continue with DC but using a hand held remote controller.
I have obtained an Aristo- Craft basic train engineer unit . Sadly it is not very effective. My question is, what other methods of DC remote control units are available ? I want to stay with DC for the time being what can members of this forum recommend ?
Thanks in advance.

Get the new Revolution system, 2.4 GHz, the trackside unit, can get in DC or PWM models.

TrackSide R/C from G-Scale Graphics is remote controlled track power, just like the old Train Engineer, only better.
Track Power

(OK Greg ... let me have it)

Del's stuff is well built, better components than the newer Revolution. Maybe not as much control, but simplified and easier to use.

Many satisfied customers.

These 2 systems fill different but similar needs. The Revolution has the ability to control switch machines remotely, and can do more functions like consisting. The user interface sucks in my opinion, but people have been able to get used to it.

Del's stuff has a simplified interface, smaller controller, but no switch control.

Both are definitely better than what you are using.

(now Navin is going to let me have it ha ha!)
