Consolidated Shale mine railway

Excellent vid!

Just the right balance between operational integrity and a bit of fun.

Love it ! Something truly original and well thought out.
It really ticks the box for 'working the line' fun.

The website is worth a look to http://www.disgracelands.net/

Crikey, it makes the Cogges Railway seem an amateur affair!! Very clever- i love the way people get their fun from differnt aspects of this hobby...

What a line, one of the best that I have seen for a real thought out operational concept. Plus allows time for some fun too. Hopefully the 16mm live steam guys are made to work to the single line tokens and signals. I used to have all sorts of problems trying to make them folow rules. Then it was all teats when they had head on collisions!

Can I assume that the line is in North Wales / Liverpool area? I would love to visit it.

Does anyone know what has happened to this railway?
The link to disgracelands doesn't work and a google search finds nothing except a 'real' Consolidated Shales railway.
The Youtube aqccount is closed too.

Looks like he dropped off the face of the planet. Niether link works. :brokeheart:

Just to let you all know that the Consolidated Shales Railway Videos are now back on YouTube.
Although the line was dismantled last year, further details about the line as it was will be posted on http://www.ty-pella.co.uk shortly ..., ready for rollout early in 2014 Ian B
