Connectable vac pipes

Fitted some Brandbright vac pipes to an assortment of vans. They need painting. There's a nerdish satisfaction in seeing a fitted train actually, well, fitted!

It's not so Nerdish as you might think. I, for one, cannot get my head wrapped around running electrics without a catenary.

Your link brought me back to this page. I'm not sure where you wanted me to go.
Also, running electrics, that use a third rail pick up shoe, fits into my head better than no catenary. That's if those electrics only use third rail, like subway trains.
I can accept a lot of things in this world, but having no overhead wires is not one of them.:crying:

Yes, detailed connectable vac pipes look very good.

I resorted to semi invisible overhead wires on the mining extension briefly....

At one period, a few years ago, I had quite an extensive catenary system. It was a combination scratch built and LGB. It worked very well indeed. However, the Garden Witch, who also happens to be the Garden CEO, brought it to the attention of the board of trustees, grandchild #1 & #2, that a tripping hazard was present. This, in spite of warning signs posted throughout the system. Not to mention the words they were liable to hear, emanating from the Chief Dummy Superintendent's mouth if he had to do repairs to the spindly maze of brass.
