Thinking ahead, Gernise End Station, on the Claptowte Railway, will be in need of a GPO Telephone Kiosk to add a splash of colour to the scenery. For 2020, Father Christmas was kind enough to furnish a model of a General Post Office (GPO) Telephone Kiosk Type 6 supplied by Garden Railway Specialists (GRS), for Gernise End Station.

Very nice, do they supply it with a drunk bloke having a wee or those little post cards where attractive young ladies leave you their contact details?

Ah the good old K6! Otherwise known as a glass toilet! ..............well most of the ones in Oxford smelled like one when I was a linesman, looking after them, back in the late 60’s early 70’s. You always had to be on your guard when entering them, you never knew what you were going to find!

Very nice. I have the same, for about 15 years. I had never noticed the how the fine print on the inside is so finely replicated. If you are going to use it outdoors I suggest you give the TELEPHONE decals on the outside a quick overcoat of varnish to protect them. They can lift in time. Something nice and inert so it does not react with the decal. Max
