Hi Russ, Your assumption is correct, I'm using the standard Bachmann chuff alongside the MP3/amp setup through a separate speaker (I am preparing an article including the process of making room in the tender for batteries as well)
The MP3 player I've used plays the tracks in sequence plus allowing pause, forward and back tracking (one by one) So, as I see it, you could record the throttle settings in sequence and 'click' forward as your loco accelerates and back as it decelerates with only a slight pause between.... the bell and horn concurrently, might be a problem for this 'system'
