Good news from Colorado. From their website here in Denver, Caboose Hobbies has a new owner...just have to find a new storefront to set up shop. Apparently, there will be a re-opening party to be scheduled and held soon. Hope to be there!

Great news, hope to make one more trip to the States. Need to finish my Drive Across. Just need to do Denver to LA. So new Caboose would certainly be on the Itinery.

Pity £ is down to $1.20 right now. Oh those heady days of $2 to the £1 and no messing on the import tax. The big trip to Colorado will have to wait a while (via California Zephyr from SF). But when I do it I will make a bee-line to Caboose.

I have been following the comments about Caboose Hobbies on Stateside fora. It is great that the business has been bought and is not going the same way as most other Stateside large scale companies that have closed down.
I hope they do well but as a previous poster said with the current rate of exchange, high shipping rates. not to mention taxation, I am unlikely to buy from them. Besides I have too much already and should consider thinning the fleet. ;)

You can never have too many trains!

I like 'indulgent'.:)

When you went into that store, you were unlikely NOT to buy from them.
I take your word for that as I have never visited the place. :)
I do have a dedicated large scale only store in England (Garden Rail Centres for the curious) ;) who has managed - purely via his website and my phone calls - managed to persuade me to part with quite an amount of my money. :D
