Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

i love the bridge piers, you could make them out of a bucket, and a dish. ..... o sorry they are made out of a bucket and dish.

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

After last night's efforts, it seemd like a good idea to get the trackbed finished - as far as Broome Loop Junction.

And good ol' Track Shack should be delivering some more track tomorrow. Thanks John

RhB Spirals? :rolf::rolf:
Looking good...

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

Looks good Don but what is the drop on that spiral i have a 2m radius patio that the track goes around up around 10" and the trains can struggle.
Oops just looked at the fence behind i guess about 5-6foot radius

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

Hi Steve :)

It's hovering at around 62", we (Dudley and I) tested it on a length train (length as in it will fit in to the fiddle yard in what's to be known as "Broome Heights") and a Bacchy Conso coped without any problem at all. I seem to remember in the dim (defilnitely for me) and distant past that the rise was around 1 in 30.

Looking good Don....

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

Hi Gary :) - looks like you had a great holiday

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

all sorts of trains run and tested, on the loop, no problems on any of them, if it can be done in real life on the Tehachapi Loop with one end passing over the other end, it can be done in Dons garden and with only one engine. What a site.

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

is it a continues circuit or an end to end?

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

End to end, Phil, with a link so that engines can be turned, or trains can be run to and from the main terminus. I'll post a plan at some time - the other one didn't seem to work

Re:Broome Lake Short Line Embryo

The name has been changed to reflect the connection to Dudley's MMRR :)
