Following on from my previous post convert Spur into triangle I have now come up with a track plan to fit the space available. I have come up with an industrial area mainly connected with the timber industries. Photos of the blank area are followed by the photos taken after playing about with track and plywood templates. I will fill in the details of what goes where latter.

I have tried to draw the layout in Sketch-up. Have been unable to over draw the track plan at present but my son has told me he will show me how to draw on a second layer.
So here is the drawing so far

I have built at this height owing to me being a part time wheelchair user. (Spinal accident many years ago). This is why the track had to come down to path level in two places, and I had to put in a lifting section in one place. Thought I might try to put numbered arrows on the drawing with corresponding photos. Do you think this would help to find your way around. I have to spend such a lot of time indoors now , it might give me something to do.

I have a couple of pals who come round a few times each week to help with the construction and track laying etc, while I do a bit of kit building for them. I'm looking forwards to designing and building my own buildings for the layout once the track is all laid. I have ideas as to what I want and were but will wait till all the track work is finalized first I think.
