Blown decoder replacement

We ran a three car Allegra no 21225 last week, it derailed near an electric fence which keeps the dogs away. Unfortunately it was very close to the fence and I had a shock which I think blew the decoder. It is refusing to run again and doesn’t respond on the programming track.

I will replace the decoder over the next few days but I don’t know in which of the three cars the decoder is fitted and the manual isn’t much help. I assume there is a motor at each end and one end has a driver.

Would it be reasonable to assume the decoder is in the drivers end?

There is an (early) install buried in the Forum somewhere. - The first option Massoth offered was very Heath-Robinson!

Watch the screws securing the centre section of 'floor' under the centre car of the model. - The one I did, each screw had been nipped-off (with pliers?) and all were different lengths.
It would be very easy to strip the thread into the plastics.

Middle coach disassembled quite easily and decoder changed, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
