Black Friday "deals".

I have just been looking at some claimed Black Friday deals but a number do not deliver their promise. For example Jadlam Racing often have good offer on the little yellow Playmobil diesel. Currently they are offering 25% off which sounds great value until you realise that it is 25% off the original price which makes it more than £1 dearer than when it was on offer there last week!

No such thing as deals. I often see buy one get one free on Detol Wipes or Beans. I have yet to see, buy a Ford Fiesta get one Free, or, Buy an LGB Kof, get one half price. Load of rubbish. Surely getting a Ford Fiesta free is the same as getting some Beans Free, only on a larger price bracket....... if such deals existed.

Many years ago I asked my mean- as- dirt pub landlord whether he had plans to do a buy one get one free scheme. I was told to b------- off up the road to the shoe shop where I was sure to get a free one for every one I bought!

Did this make anyone else think of an old "Not The 9 O'Clock News" sketch of some one-legged guys holding up a shoe shop and taking the single shoes on display?
