I’m looking for a bit of advice.

I’ve managed to break off two of the three locating pieces (the bits that plug into the sleeper ends and have a screw through the sleeper top into the lever base). I have them and they are clean breaks.

I’m trying to find a quick fix!

Does anyone have advice for what glue would hold this plastic together?

Thanks in advance everyone.

Depends what type of plastic, I would try something like Carr's Butanone, see if it softens the plastic, and then allow to bond, it does take some time to properly harden, but if the parts are ABS this will work.

Thank you Jimmy. I’ll give that a try.

Maybe email Heyn himself for advice?

Yes, good idea. I have done that and will wait for his reply. He’s usually very good at getting back to customers.

I would get the pvc glue from home depot, the heavy duty stuff for pvc pipe. cheap, comes in a can. You can even get the primer. Buy the better stuff (there are 2 grades)

(am I the only guy who understands you are in the USA? o_O)
Yes, probably. I can source the stuff here with no problem. My Brother in Law works for Home Depot!

I gave it some more thought. The idea of the PVC glue is fusion welding... might try a bit on a hidden area and see if it softens the plastic.

If not, a safer bet would be epoxy, but clamp the joint until it cures (I don't like the 1 or 5 minute stuff, not as strong),

JB Weld also makes a very strong plastic glue. (besides their excellent epoxies)
