Hi Folks. I have a Regner 'Paul' tram, live steam, and a real steam whistle fitted, all R/C. However something which has been in my mind is that it has no way of making the bell sound. One of the suppliers advertising in Garden Rail, was offering a steam whistle sound card to run from a spare channel, aimed at adding a 'nice sounding' steam whistle to a live steamer. I asked about adding a 'bell' sound instead, which he said is possible, so now I need to find the sound I want. Do any of you know where I can get a recording of (ideally) the real 102 tram bell or something similar, or even just the tram bell without an electric motor sound as well. I have found loads of tram bells on 'tinternet, but they all seem to be from electric trams, and I don't really want the whine of an electric motor pulling away on a steam tram. The real Henschel & Sohn 102 tram is still existent, but is apparently hidden away in storage. So could I ask if any of you have any ideas please. Thanks. David

You could try using this sound module from Micron - Micron Radio Control : Sound Modules

Although a tram bell isn't listed, I reckon you could put an MP3 file of the sound on to the micro SD card and trigger it from a RC receiver channel. Failing that, ask Andy at Micron or Phil at RC trains to put a bell sound on it for you

David,

The steam whistle soundcard is a MyLocoSound product and we provide a library of sounds at Live Steam Whistles. At the moment these are all whistles. However we have brass and bronze bell sounds on steam locos ... not electric ... which you can download from https://www.mylocosound.com/linked/us_brass.wav and https://www.mylocosound.com/linked/us_bronze.wav. You can copy these onto the micro SD card in the whistle unit. If they do not suit then let me know and I will look for alternatives.
