The Orchard Line
Today's challenge, to see whether battery, R/C, DCC decoder and sound can all be made to fit into the coal bunker of the quirky little Bachmann Climax.
Using the tiniest G scale offerings from ESU and Revo plus the tiniest 14v battery pack I could find, I reckoned it could be done.
One modification I made was to replace the brushes on the top of the trucks, fed the wires through the holes and drilled/soldered the existing plates for the motors, to take them. Hot glue was used to secure the wires at the top.
The speaker is a bit aenemic but otherwise it all works
