Band Wanted

tramcar trev

all manner of mechanical apparatus...
I am seeking a group of suitably sized bandsmen or musicians to use in my ornate Victorian Rotunda....

Lemax do a couple of bands. One is a 1930's jazz band the other a Sally Army type ensemble complete with music stand.
Unfortunately, I have just brought mine in but I will get them out later in the day.

Rubber band crossed my mind

If your pockets are very deep, Prehm has some jazz band figures here: http://www.prehm-miniaturen.com/Einzelfiguren_2011.html < Link To http://www.prehm-miniatur...inzelfiguren_2011.html

I was thinking Gastric Band :rolf:

How about the Spince Girls, they're not doing much these days, oh, sorry, did you mean you wanted them to be able to sing?

Are you a stickler for correct scale when it comes to figures, Trev? I can't think of anything in G that hasn't already been mentioned (the Prehm ones are lovely!), but if you could use figures that were closer to Gauge 1 (1/32, or 54mm in Model Soldier scale terminology) then you might find something suitable in the various ranges of modern repro "retro style" toy soldiers? There are sure to be some bands there, though you might have to pass over the military marching bands and search deeper for some more static poses....

Totally off-topic, but this just reminded me of something - several years ago someone wrote a spoof "diary" of Theo Walcott when he went off to kick a ball around a field for England at the age of 15 or so.... it was very much "Diary of Adrian Mole" style, treating young Theo like a kid being looked after by the various WAGs. The only bit I clearly recall went something like:
"Auntie Victoria told me she used to be a pop singer - she even sang me a couple of songs - I think she was fibbing...." :rolf::rolf::rolf::rolf::rolf:
