Bachmann Indy 2-6-0 to Bagnall 0-6-0ST

A few months ago Bachmann parts USA were offering the core of the Industrial 2-6-0 at a very advantageous price
One was acquired along with some parts I was ordering at the time knowing it would come in useful sooner or later
With the relaxation of the UK lockdown other pursuits occupied my Summer, but with Autumn approaching another project was needed
Various UK prototypes were thought about including a Nort British J88 0-6-0T
However an article by Phil Parker in BRM magazine on industrial 00 scale locos was the inspiration for the G scale chassis to form the basis of a Bagnall saddle tank loco
The build was relatively straightforward relying on Styrene/plasticard sheet and sections as well as a few castings and bits

Chimney from Walsall models - gauge one LNWR type
Handrail knobs snd backhead parts from GRS
Buffers from Williams models
Safety Valves from some pop rivets

The loco is finished in black and blue along the lines of the preserved Bagnall ‘Princess’

I will order some name and works plates from a Peter Woods engineering to finish the loco off in the next few day’s

I ll let the pictures illustrate the build

Lovely job, just shows what can be done with a Us Chassis.
