I have recently replaced the drive axle gear on a Bachmann American 4-4-0, made a video of the process, and posted it on YouTube. Many thanks to Loco Bill Canelos who put step-by-step instructions on the Bachmann forum. <Bachmann Forum> I could not have done the job without his help.
