Bachmann Annie/Clarabel Repaint

I got these when miamigo259 posted about them when they were cheap in modelzone
The intention was to repaint them and make them less Thomasy...........

The roof just sits on top, and the body is held on with 8 screws.

Next up was to remove the glazing and it was recommended to me to use nail varnish remover to soften the glue, which worked well.
There are 6 securing "lugs" to take out first......

And with the help from some cocktail sticks the glazing was removed

Next up a razor saw to the nose (but some fool got stuck in and forgot to photo this part)....

Steve at back2bay6 supplied some laser cut seats and the fret work for the face end

Again another unphotographed stage....but im sure you all know what primer paint looks like ;)
 
Then a top coat of rail match coach brown

And when its all put back together....
Just needs some numbers for the sides and maybe some detail in the compartments

Paint work looks fantastic :thumbup:
Your V200 now needs a repaint to look like a Warship :bigsmile:

How do you cut off the nose so cleanly?

Didnt think I did!!
I just used a modellers saw with very fine teeth as close a I could to the body then tided it up with a bit of glass paper
In fact on one of them I got too carried away and had to use some filler :nail: ;)

Very nice, Ever thought about sticking 2 together? At least as bogie coaches they would be as they were in the books.

And yes theres two ...second one is still in the detail paint shop and is slightly different...;)
