Arosaish Bahn

Stewie, the CFR was fitted with LGB fishplates for donkeys years( 15) without any problems. I only switched over to rail clamps as I altered, expanded or replaced sections of track.
I am sure that you will have no problems with your set up.

Sorry Alan I have no idea on Massoth clamps I have never used them. I have only used slide on rail joiners so the rail should expand ok..
With your curves - referring to the track of course, nothing personal :giggle: - expansion even in Antipodean temperatures shouldn't be a problem, unless the track is fixed very rigidly.

Clamps are good for electrical continuity ................... but I seem to remember you're going battery powered, in which case just leave the LGB sliding fishplates as they are :nod:

I think I should be ok with just peco slide on joiners and leaving a gap in the rails.
You probably will be okay because you are using fishplates.

My expansion problem was because of the Massoth track clamps.
The expansion was concentrated where the track was not ballasted.

Photographic evidence of the distortion across the bridge doesn't lie but the trains still ran fine -
