I recently managed to acquire one of these Aristo locos and it has a sealed sound unit which looks very much like an LGB unit. The loco was digital but a wandering metal weight inside promptly shorted the two 55021 chips. Foortunately I have a spare Massoth XL which I am fitting but in another senior moment I cannot remember to which terminals I connect the 2 wires from the sound unit.
Do I also need to reduce the voltage for the lights as they were previously working via the LGB chips ?
There is an original Aristo Smoke Unit but I am not sure whether this works. Again should I connect this to one of the spare terminals on the XL ?
