Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. Great to meet you all. I've been in large scale for less than a year so I'm learning the ropes.

I am putting an ESU Loksound 5 XL decoder into an Aristocraft SD45 and wanted to save a few cable splices. Anyone know what type of 4 pin connector is used between the motor block and the PC board and even better where I might be able to get a few connectors with pig tails?

I would attach an image but am getting a notification that the temporary directory is missing and the site administrator will need to fix it.

Thank you,
Greg

HI Greg, can't help with your question I'm afraid (don't know a lot about Aristo stuff), but wanted to say welcome to GSC!

I'm sure others will be along soon who can help you with the wiring query....

Hello Greg,
Welcome to the Forum..
Watch out with those connectors. - Use a meter to check polarity, as the motor-blocks are opposite ways round, so polarity can be swapped from end to end!
There are ways to make things easier on these loco's.. Read through Greg's site for tips..

YES, on AristoCraft stuff ALWAYS use a meter. I have 2 FA-1's that the electrics are still a mystery.
