Another long stalled locomotive - Hudson

Another of those stalled projects from many years ago. A few days ago this was just a basic shell with the trailing truck added. A guilty conscience forced me to do something with it. Thus progress has been made yesterday and today. The tender was made several years ago and will be shared with this loco and a 4-8-0 Mastadon that I have painted a week ago but awaits reassembly.

Ideally, the loco should be finished with Walschaerts valve gear, however, I only have the simple inside valve gear so this is what the loco will be finished with. I have no idea what minimum radius will be but definitely not R1 capable!!!!!!!!

A Big Hauler into a Biiiiig Hauler, now that i like,:):)interesting build, waiting for update and finished loco pics, please lets see the 4 8 0 when assembled.Laters Rio:)

The Hudson saga continues. The drive is now assembled and tested, awaiting final assembly of the boiler superstructure. As can be seen on the chassis the forward lower boiler mount frame had to be removed and permanently attached to the boiler due the full length running boards each side. Hopefully this will not impact on final assembly.

The forward red/black wires are for the headlight and the rear wires for the tender wheel pickups. Due not having any curved rail I cannot test the minimum radius possible.
