An Inexpensive Feldbahn loco

Take one Feldbahn LGB wagon chassis an LGB Intermedia gear plus one Buehler motor, metal wheels with pickups and we have a loco chassis. A body can be made using plasticard. The photographs below show my test model. Later I shall add some weight to it and also a DCC decoder.

That's a great piece of work.
I do envy people who can take a motor and a few gears and make them mesh and work. Seems beyond my skills.

I'm quite good at making them mash!

I once put a new gearwheel into a Bachmann Columbia - created a lovely shower of nylon rain, loco still doesn’t run...

Yes Zerogee All from my spares box the Prehm driver was leftover from another project. The motor mount is made from double sided copper printed circuit board making it easy to place the motor over the gear with one hand and solder it in place with the other.
