Hi Everyone,
A couple of months ago, I purchased an Accucraft Ruby. This little loco is a brilliant performer, but I feel could be improved by fitting R/C. Can anyone point me in the right direction - the only off-the-shelf RC gear I can find for this loco is on ebay, but I'd like to hear others' experiences?

Any advice would be most appreciated,

Pete

Thanks Tony, unfortunately the ebay one doesn't ship to Australia.

What would I need for the ruby? Suitable mounting equipment for the servo's, linkages, 2.4GHz receiver and radio, battery pack?

Bought and fitted this kit a few years ago.
Not sure if they still exist.
http://www.rc-steamers.com/ (Chris Enright) Same people as in Tony's post on ebay and when I contacted him he did ship to Aust.

The only issue I had was that Accucraft changed the throttle shaft length to shorter length and I had to get an extension made to mount the R/C gear.
I wrote an article for a live steam magazine, after they asked me to, about how I overcame the issue, can't remember which one though.
I did contact Chris and he said that he would look at the difference and maybe change the kit.
Mine still works OK
This link shows the issue and how I eventually overcame it.

I made a tender and put the receiver and battery pack in it.
