You could use the battery boxes with contacts already in place. They are available in various sizes to take numbers of batteries

There must be as the shop mentioned by Mike in post number 2 (that I also highly recommend) offer both standard and special order battery packs.
I'm sure Tony Walsham will know about availability in your part of the world.

Holders add a potential failure point at every contact point.
They also take up precious space.
Aircraft tech speaking here hence preference for solder tabs when space is at premium.

Battery World near me sells them with solder tags; haven't seen them in Jaycar yet; their solder tag batteries are all the older type of NiMH although they are selling the low discharge, terminal version.

At the moment I am using tagged AAs from WES Components but a tagged eneloop supplier would be come very in handy.

You can get the tagged cells from Battery World or me.

I can get Eneloops from "The Battery Doctor" just up the road here in Bomaderry and he will tag them.
He is a Masters reseller.
